Welcome back to the NSG Indie Game Roundup, our monthly series featuring indie games news, plus game demo and new release discussions.
February is ramping up with more great indie game releases and upcoming showcases and events. We had a great time this past month catching up on some of our backlog games!! Kate discusses her experience digging into Haven for the first time. Emily returned to the IGA Gameplay nominee Minishoot’ Adventures and talks about how she accidentally wound up beating the game. And best of all, to celebrate the kick-off of Steam Next Fest, we got to interview indie game developer (and longtime friend of Emily’s) Michael Gruar of Lunar Chippy Games. Mike talks about his process developing his upcoming title Iron Village, and talks shop about participating in Steam Next Fest.
Also, huge thanks to our first Patreon supporters! In addition to other fun perks, members on Patreon get early access to all of the Indie Game Roundup episodes. No Small Games is an indie game recap and review podcast brought to you by hosts Kate and Emily! They became friends while streaming on Twitch and bonded over their love of indie video games. In each episode of No Small Games, the two will discuss an indie game they both played independently. They’ll compare their experiences: the good, the bad, their most memorable moments of their playthroughs.
In this installment, you’ll hear their roundup of indie game news from February 2025, plus new releases and demos that they played recently, and an interview with indie game dev Michael Gruar.
