Welcome back to the NSG Indie Game Roundup, our monthly series featuring indie games news, plus game demo and new release discussions.
Even as the year closes out, 2024 does not slow down with fantastic indie game releases. In this latest roundup, we’re recapping our participation in judging the Indie Game Awards, with a quick review of some of our highlights from the nominees. You’ll also hear our take on the demo for Aikyam, which has quickly become a most anticipated game of 2025. And as always, we’ve got lots of new releases to talk about from this past month. From beautiful platformers celebrating classical music, to haunted cabins on conveyor belts, to having to pepper spray assailants while on the clock, December’s games were truly a wild ride.
Also, huge thanks to our first Patreon supporters! In addition to other fun perks, members on Patreon get early access to all of the Indie Game Roundup episodes. No Small Games is an indie game recap and review podcast brought to you by hosts Kate and Emily! They became friends while streaming on Twitch and bonded over their love of indie video games. In each episode of No Small Games, the two will discuss an indie game they both played independently. They’ll compare their experiences: the good, the bad, their most memorable moments of their playthroughs.
In this installment, you’ll hear their roundup of indie game news from December 2024, plus new releases and demos that they played recently.
